Biblical Church Government – Part 2

The Divine 'Word' or Son communicates with and is Himself the communicative Bond between His Father and His Spirit.4   And Ministers of the Word5 similarly communicate.

They communicate God's Word to God's people.6   The Prophets did so in ancient times -as infallibly-inspired Naabiyiym (who experienced revelation when "pouring forth" prophetic utterances),7 and as infallibly-inspired Propheetai (who conveyed revelation when they originally "spoke forth" the Word of God).8   But other Ministers of the Word (both ancient and modern) also proclaimed (and still proclaim) God's messages.   Although not themselves initiators of revelation, they were and are nevertheless Spirit-filled expository Preachers and Official Teachers of the written Word of God previously inscriptured in the days of the earlier Prophets.
