Abraham Kuyper, just like Andrew Murray, also saw the 'family worship' implications of Adam's pre-fall daily prayers. He detected this, in the light of Genesis 1:26f & Psalm 8:2f cf. Matthew 21:15f. Wrote Kuyper:33 "Adam knew no prayer for dire needs – just as little as that can exist in the Kingdom of glory." Yet even the unfallen Adam prayed. Indeed, he prayed to (and praised and worshipped) his great Creator-EnlightenerPreserver, the Triune God – daily.
Continued Kuyper: "Prayer must first of all be regarded as worship…. Prayer, as praise, is brought to God by the entire creation. Compare, inter alia, Psalm 148…. The angels are the first to be called upon to worship praisingly…. Only after that…does the call to man follow….
