Accordingly, women are not to rule or to lead or to preach in Christian congregational worship — no matter how much women do lead and instruct in the surrounding pagan society of the time. Rather are Christian women — and especially those confused men in the congregation who might otherwise permit the women to lead and to preach — to “acknowledge that the things which I [viz. the Apostle Paul] am writing unto you, are Commandments of the LORD.” I Cor. 14:36.
